The place of the 55th Austrian Magic Convention in Baden near Vienna

FISM 2012, Blackpool

At the FISM convention 2009 in Peking Blackpool/ England was selected as meeting point in 2012. For the first time the FISM convention will take place in England.

MAGIC CHRISTIAN:

After a long period of hard work the second volume of "NON PLUS ULTRA", Hofzinser's card magic, appeared May 2004. This part contains all the card tricks of this genius that have influenced card magic up to the present day and are examples of entertainment at its best. An English version is planned to appear shortly.

The third volume with the magic of his salon effects will appear probably in 2011. For this third work, more than 270 original manuscripts of Hofzinser and his friends, and more than 2,500 newspaper cuttings had to be read. These manuscripts are in different private and public collections in Washington, Offenbach, Berlin and in Vienna, in the newspaper cuttings collection of MAGIC CHRISTIAN.

The English translation of volume one and two of NON PLUS ULTRA probably will be ready at the end of 2010/ beginnin 2011 and will appear at Steven Minch's Hermetic Press, Seattle, USA
